Introduction

The art market is notoriously unregulated, at least to any significant extent. This poses a concern for both buyers and sellers of artistic works, and for the professionals who advise them given the rise to questions of authenticity, or if the artwork is believed to be fake or stolen, or otherwise illegally obtained.

This course will set out the legal framework and address the major issues that tend to arise in art litigation.
