Introduction

A default costs certificate is a powerful and potent tool in the armoury of the receiving party.

When used correctly, this procedure can effectively bring the detailed assessment proceedings to a complete end entitling the receiving party to recover 100% of the Bill of Costs.

However, receiving parties commonly find their efforts undermined when the default costs certificate is set aside.

This is often because of avoidable errors in service of the Bill of Costs or in the application for the default costs certificate.

This new virtual classroom seminar will explain how to avoid this and more.

It is suitable for litigators seeking to recover costs between parties, including solicitors and all costs professionals.

The session assumes an existing knowledge of the detailed assessment procedure.
