Introduction

For a number of years there has been a marked and upward trend in the level of disputes involving wills, estates, and trusts.

In 2020, the number of disputes fought in the High Court reached a record of 192, up from 188 in 2019, and 128 in 2018.

This has continued into 2021 and 2022.

Lockdown also brought about new challenges, which has led to a further increase in demand and instructions in the sector.

2022 has been a particularly active year with a number of Court judgments published.

This webinar will cover the changes that have arisen following the pandemic and will also focus on a number of high-profile decisions in challenges to wills that have followed.
