Introduction
Race is a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010. Although race discrimination in the workplace has been unlawful since 1968, racism remains a widespread and endemic feature of everyday working life in Britain.
A recent survey found that over 70% of ethnic minority workers reported experiencing racial harassment at work, and over 60% felt that they have been subjected to unfair treatment by an employer because of their race.
Delivered by experienced employment law practitioner Emma Tegerdine, this new virtual classroom seminar offers a detailed examination of recent case law in this area and will consider what can be learned from such matters, making it ideal for employment lawyers and HR professionals.
