SRA Competency B D

Introduction

Since the start of COVID-19, employees have been leaving the workforce and switching jobs in their droves.

When an employee moves on, their employment contract can either protect the employer, or put them in a tight spot. It is therefore essential that employment contracts are clear, carefully worded and contain everything they need to cover the myriad of issues that can arise after termination of employment.

Delivered by experienced employment practitioner Emma Tegerdine, this new virtual classroom seminar will examine the clauses that can provide valuable protection against ex-employees.

Aimed at employment lawyers and HR professionals, consideration will be given to recent case law in this area and the practical application of these clauses.

What you will learn

This live and interactive session will cover clauses dealing with:

  • Non-poaching of customers

  • Recovering other sums
  • Payments in lieu of notice (including potential pitfalls)
  • Garden leave
