Course Outline
Introduction
Large-scale new developments planned on Garden City Principles have a key role to play in addressing housing needs and this is reflected in the latest version of the NPPF. Planning on this scale offers particular legal, political and practical challenges for authorities and promoters.
This new 5 hour course will consider the key issues that need to be addressed when planning on this scale and will offer practical insights based on first-hand experience of delivering projects. Case studies will be used to illustrate the approaches that have been taken to the issues faced by scheme promoters and planning authorities.
The training will include insights into planning and delivery issues for garden communities and other large-scale residential projects.
