Introduction
In 2020 the transfers of personal data from the European Economic Area (EEA) to other jurisdictions were affected by a combination of the CJEU decision known as Schrems II, the declaration on the invalidity of the EU-US Privacy Shield, the guidance from the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), the publication of the new EU SCC and data transfers, the Adequacy Decision for the UK post Brexit and most recently the UK IDTA and Addendum to the new EU SCC.
Presented by leading expert Robert Bond, this webinar will review the current position on international data transfers from the EEA, the UK and other jurisdictions with similar data protection laws and offer thoughts on what practical steps companies can take to comply with the changing legal and compliance requirements.
