Professional Deputies & Costs - A Guide for Private Client Practitioners

Introduction

Acting as a professional deputy is a rewarding position and if done correctly can also be profitable for your firm. However, many practitioners are put off when they submit their bill for costs and this is knocked down significantly by the SCCO.

This new course is aimed at any firm offering this service, and will provide up to date information on how the fees system works, current rules and regulations and analysis of the case law surrounding costing.

We will then consider the practical application of these rules, and how to set out your files to enable the most cost effective management for you.

We will also consider the new OPG forms and the practicalities of these, and problems that can arise if your fees increase for an unpredictable reason.
